About San Rafael Healing and Trudy

A health psychologist for over 20 years, I have always had an interest in mind-body medicine. At my “day job” I work in a variety of medical departments, assisting people with trauma, cancer, chronic medical conditions, weight loss, smoking cession, depression, anxiety, pain, heart disease, women’s health issues and a variety of stress-related medical problems. The work is satisfying and rewarding, but there is just SO MUCH MORE to healing than traditional western medical and psychologial practices.

In the 1990s, I dabbled with intuition development, angel guidance and introductory healing classes such as Hands of Light and Reiki, but put healing exploration on hold to complete graduate school and to be present for my children when they were young. Like all perfect gifts, when I was ready to return to spiritual healing endeavors, God opened doors for me. I mentioned to a new friend that I had enough time in my life to start looking for the “right” shamanic teacher; one who humbly practiced God-centered intuitive work and developed students to foster their own spiritual gifts and talents, not just perform trade-marked techniques. She met my passion with a laugh, stating, “Have I got the teacher for you!” I didn’t know it at the time, but she was a spiritual healer. She introduced me to her teacher, Victor Barron, a world-renowned spiritual healer and medium. I had already registered for an introductory course in another shamanic tradition, but it couldn’t compare to the powerful, loving compassion and humility that Victor embraces. I haven’t turned back since.

I hope if you are reading this page today that doors are being open for you. I would be honored and humbled to assist you with your healing journey. I feel deeply that within each of us is a spark of the divine. We are our most perfect, loving and beautiful, empowered selves when layers of pain, trauma, suffering and negativity are removed, allowing us to to remember who we REALLY are. When we are able to do that, we move with more fluidity, grace, peace, compassion and humble power in the world; make wise decisions more easily; and serve as a beacon of light to guide others as well.

Please take a look around the website, and REACH OUT if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you.

You may ask….“Why use the name San Rafael healing?” Saint Rafael is one of God’s Archangels, a healing angel. Per Catholic.org the name "Rafael” means “God heals.” I have been blessed with a home on San Rafael Street. Coincidence? Divine mischief? Who knows! Either way, I hope to honor God and St. Rafael as best I can.
